On the 21st of October, Brisbane local and Wallabies Tom Lawton will be joined by ex All Black Steve McDowall at an exclusive pre-match lunch in Paddington Tavern at 1:30 p.m. where the pair will share some rugby stories and their insights into the sport.
Samantha Horton, director of Firefly Events, is very excited to celebrate this lunch and talk about everything Rugby. “We are excited to host an array of Rugby fans – whether they be from Brisbane, Western Queensland… or even from across the ditch.” She added, “It’s the perfect ‘mate’s day out,’ or even weekend away from the property for some of those traveling from out west.”
The Paddo Tavern, conveniently situated near the Suncorp Stadium, will offer a selection of gourmet food, premium beverages as well as stories from speakers as The Rugby season begins.
Enjoy delicious Panko crumbed prawns with lemon and aioli, salt and pepper calamari, butter seared Scallops with cauliflower puree and crisp prosciutto and lemongrass chicken.
The main course is a 200g Beef Tenderloin on caramelised onion mash with green beans, poivrade sauce and oven roasted tomatoes.
